Urban Bliss.

“Bliss is that deep, fulfilling, sustainable, driving need you have. That thing that is the true ‘you’. Bliss is your life’s purpose. Bliss is the pathway to happiness. Happiness is a state of mind; following your bliss is how you get there.”

That’s me. Twenty-something and despite many longer stays in the US actually at home in beautiful Hamburg, Germany. After my dual studies in Business Administration, I am now about to finish my master studies for which I was lucky enough to live in Brooklyn, New York until the beginning of this year. Marie all alone in the Big Apple. Actually, nothing new for me, but in some way these six months changed me. Marie, the over thinker, just let go. After a not-so-easy growing up as well as a long-lasting illness, that I have not been able to fully recover from up until this day, I dared to take my life into my own hands. And oh, it felt good! For way too many years I believed that others are responsible for my happiness – “my bliss”. Yet, in the last year, I was luckily able to realize that I was wrong. And this brings me to the very reason, why y’all are reading this. Urban Bliss.

“Bliss is that deep, fulfilling, sustainable, driving need you have. That thing that is the true ‘you’. Bliss is your life’s purpose. Bliss is the pathway to happiness. Happiness is a state of mind; following your bliss is how you get there.”

So, Urban Bliss is about “following my bliss” and hence, about all the things, that I have developed a huge passion for within the last years and by now are so important to me, that I can’t imagine life without them anymore: weightlifting (which has actually become part of my profession since I am working as a Personal Trainer in Hamburg next to my job in Marketing), healthy and well-balanced eating, and travelling the world.

And my long hidden talent to rap. Yet, I should probably reconsider how present this should be on here.

I am really excited to take you on this “journey” with me and to hopefully inspire you with some of my posts.
